We all want the freedom to make decisions that affect our lives. Ballot measures give us the freedom to participate directly in deciding what happens in North Dakota. But Measure 1 would end that, taking away our freedom.

We should never vote to give up our own power and hand it over to politicians and special interests. But this amendment would make it nearly impossible for citizens to pass ballot measures, taking away our power to pass laws -- giving politicians and special interests all the power.
